My basking spot is higher, around 110-115F. Ambient temp - 82-85F.
If you can, invest in a mercury vapor bulb. I find they greatly improved my Tegus that I took on who came with me with MBD. My red seems to have improved a lot. (Althought once damage is done, cannot be totally reversed).

I just got a new camera. It's the Canon EOS 450D.
I'm not that great with it yet, I've had it about a day. Most of these shots were on Macro and Portrait, even though my Tegu is not a person, lol.
I'm going to have to fiddle around with the manual settings. I'm also taking lessons.

So far, I haven't noticed his feeding response much. He hasn't been too hungry since I got him. He had an adult mouse the night I got him, and picked grapes out of the turkey the other day. Surprising, he chose grapes over ground turkey..

Hey everyone. Well, sorry to come here on sad terms, but my Argentine B&W Tegu, Panzer has passed away. He was in great health, apart from the MBD. It was a total accident, I had no idea what happened. He had a fall and landed the wrong way, apparently fracturing his neck or causing damage and...
