    1.1 Saharan Uromastyx

Time for me to move on! My girl has laid her eggs, 90% are fertile and should hatch in 40-50 days now. The female is getting her wieght back and doing great. I have 10 months now till i join the police accademy and i am running wtupid with physical training, school, and learning spanish so i am...

    Saharan Eggs.

There is a rather high fatality rate with Uros on Burmation. Yeah, either the guy that owned them before me had these two together and they did their thing in his possesion or, she was impregnated by an unknown male in the wild. Either way im looking at 4-5 eggs with a 95% chance to hatch and...

    Saharan Eggs.

She was trying to bury them as i was picking them out and in Uros, you don't have to worry so much about turning the eggs. Actually one very successful breeder/keeper of every Uro there is says to turn them on their side where the embryo or red circle is on top. he stats that this is what he...

    Saharan Eggs.

My female dropped 15 eegs today. Some of them don't look to good but i have never seen Uro eggs before and according to a creditable source, fertile Uro eggs will have a red circle or ring on them which a couple of them did so im crossing my fingers.

couple more pics of my Saharans

There are so many people out there that sell Nigerians, yellows and reds which in reallity they are Saharans. I do not know where they get Nigerians from unless they just call it by a place they are imported from. I think there is to much crossing information out there on all reptile morphs...

couple more pics of my Saharans

Saharans come from several countried bordering the saharan desert of north africa.the Aegyptica (Egyptian) and Aegyptica Microlepis are closest related to Nigerians which the actual uromastyx named Nigerian are really non existant. Banded (closely related to the Mali), Abony, Indian (sub...

couple more pics of my Saharans

Not 100% sure but i believe only the Saharans have the striped belly or atleast i don't think Mali's, Ornates, or Egypt/Nigerians do.

couple more pics of my Saharans

Indeed lol, thats why i wanted saharans and the one website that does have them, didn't have any for sale so i gave up. I then stumbled apon these and got them. Ill get some belly shots tomorrow of mine and show you but for now here is a belly shot of a male yellow from that site...

couple more pics of my Saharans

I am 90% sure that the red is a female and the yellow is a male not by their color (females usualy don't have that bright of color) but by the bellies on them. Males have a tiger striping pattern on their belly where as the females are all white maybe with a little freckling of their color but...

couple more pics of my Saharans

Yes they are fresh imports and i sent the pics to the guy and he said the female looked just a little skinny but she lloks fine and he thought the male looked a little dehidrated so i have been soaking them as he told me to for about 5-10 min. Here is a couple recent pics tooken yesterday...

    New Addition

I would reccomend a Crested Gecko. Fun, easy and stay small. I would cover the top atleast half way if its a screen top if you decide to do cresteds to keep some of the moisture in.

    New Addition

I can find one yeah but its also just basic information. Stick your hand against a glass window and watch how fast your hand gets cooler and the glass gets warmer.
