    HELP ME

I'm no expert but if I had a fiesty Tegu I would just cut its lights off and let it cool down. Once the Tegu is at room temperature (1/2 hr maybe) Then I would pick it up slowly and softly to start building trust. If he wiggles or squirms thats ok..just no sudden movements. Then get a tank...

    Question About Underground Reptiles?

You can go on YouTube and watch him collect the eggs from his breeders. Fascinating stuff and very knowledgeable. Good Luck.

Hmmm interesting... I wonder if a lil dawn dishwashing liquid rubbed over the tail and left to soak for 10-15 mins would "aid" in the tail shed coming off easier? Enki body shed peeled like a banana when I towel dried her. Think I'll give it a few more days see what happens on its own before I...

Your right about the shed..after the soaking in the tank all the body dead skin wiped away except for the tail..still pieces resisting falling off so far.

I would love to hear input about this taming method!

Wow I started my Tegu off on your plan B Not in a "showing who's boss" approach but to build trust and let her know I am her friend. The "ignoring and waiting" approach seems counter intuitive to me. My attitude is its a new day lets do something together. I leave her alone at night and let her...

    Newbie to the forums

Hello everyone! New to the Tegu Forums. I bought my Argentine Black n White (Fire Belly) from Teguonly at the Orlando Repticon show last Sunday. I am in love with my lil baby. Not sure if he or she but is a Florida wild caught that is super tame. I know I diversify her diet more then others...

    tegusonly

I bought my tegu from Teguonly at the Orlando Repticon Show and have to say Wow! These tegu's are wild caught but are so remarkably tame. He warned me thier behavior would be different once I got her/him home but not so. This guy is tame, healthy and just a gentle tegu. Plus is a rescue cause...
