    Rocks If your near a river just get some from there. Disinfect them though maybe an oven. Also some tegus like going waste in water, the filter might be over worked lol when It's built post pics please sounds awesome.

    Whole prey only?

    My guys Love ground Turkey mix and dubia the most! I don't feed while prey unless I find some cheap at an expo but that's 2 times a year. I think though as long as he is healthy on whole prey just give some variety so get doesn't get bored of a food he likes. Find a farm and ask for babies Lol!

    The fact your saving money makes me feel great, the best breeding pet I've ever had Lol, bad climbers, don't bite, will die in lower temps. Oh Yeah the won't fly! And your feeding them a diet Not then eating trash and being gross.

    Towel over them and securely and gently grab a foot and clip clip. Been doing it for a year or so. Local pet stores If you can find one may do it for a fee.

    Maybe soak the eggs in a large bucket of water to get some of the salt out. I know some people do it with olives.

    The only issue I have with live is the chance of them being sick and or having parasites. Frozen can have parasite issues too I hear.

    Have the food in a separate container in a separate room.Make sure to wash your hands/ smell of food best you can from yourself. Have the food present in the room then bring him in.     How to soak a tegu?

    Can you coax him into a tub from the cage. Get a box and put some food in it, when he does go, in turn off the lights (make sure you can see). Then you can get him into the tub for soak. It'll lessen the stress if you don't man handle him.

    I worked in a pet store, we didnt breed mince or rats but the amount of waste they can make in a day is ridiculous also very smelly.... if you do, make a comfortable wire bottom and place the cage over a hole, that way you can just keep burying all the waste and move the cage around outside.
