i feel like crying right now

Chris - I can't believe you didn't tell me. I keep crying at work, and had to drive home after meeting Justin last night, a two hour drive, after learning that Gozar burned to death. I keep thinking about the day I got him two years ago, and how big he'd gotten since then. He was a really good...

Thanks for posting this. Gigi would like everyone to know that he really needs a new home quick and will be super appreciative to his new owner. He's such a sweetie. Right now, b/c I cannot have him, he's in my parents house which means he's not getting the face time he needs. He's VERY social...

    Mammals and Reptiles

I have seen it a dozen or more times - youtube videos of cats lounging with tegus, dogs and iguanasm etc. Every time I see it I wonder, now is that smart? And on here I've seen tons of people who have lots of warm and cold blooded animals. Not that they are free roaming with eachother, but I...

Two Black and White Tegus in Midwest

Two beautiful B/W Varnyard Juvies here. One is very social and the other is pretty skittish. Both tub potty trained, never eat in their cage. Handled regularly and cared for with love. Circumstances out of our hands are forcing us to make the right choice for them and offer them to a better...

    Gozars waking up

Gozar and I were wondering how one goes about convincing a little guy like hiim to eat his veggies... he's a couple months old now and I'd love to see him eat some greens.

    Attitude Change

***Sorry if you already read this, I am reposting b/c I posted it in the wrong place before!*** Hi guys, So it seems obvious that anyone wanting to hibernate is probably going to be little grouchy when they're awake. Gozar seems so different though, I just wanted to check on a few things...

    Gozar settling in

Gozar has been sleeping a lot since he got here, and slowly getting used to me. Today was a little confusing - he's been letting me take him out to feed him. He also explored a bit in the living room today and even climbed up onto my head, and didnt want to get down! But even though sometimes...

    Kane Heat Mat? Tinfoil?

Two questions: Anyone have any experience with Kane brand heat mats? Do most people use heat mats in combination with lights to keep up the ambient temp? Aaaaand lastly! I feel like I read something about using tinfoil if you have a screen top to help keep in moisture and humidity. Did I make...

    Sleepy Lizards

Hi All, My two two year old Egyptian Uros have started acting very sleepy this past week. Jaw and leg movement seems fine when they are awake and out of their cage, they have UV light, and seem alert when they are awake, but they sleep almost all the time now! Anyone have any suggestions?
