Mori has eaten a few blueberries and blackberries, but only by tearing the berries in half so that they can taste the juice. But veggies are still no-goes
I know that Tegus eat meat and plant matter, but how do you introduce the veggies and fruit to them to get them to actually eat it?
I have a 1.5 to 2 month old (or however old a 16-18inch tegu is) Argentine Red Tegu named Mori. I don't know if it is simply too soon to try the veggies or what.
Knowing Goliath and his insane chases with crickets, it was probably just him hitting it during the time to shed. There was no blood from what I saw, so it wasn't that bad. I've been cleaning it and keeping debris from touching it as much as I'm able to. He's just a hyper baby when he's on the hunt.
No lights are anywhere capable for him to get close to, but it is most likely just a shedding thing as one of his hands is showing similar type scales. It's already healing where the mark is on his foot.
