My husband works at a local reptile shop. Someone brought in a baby gold what may be very advanced scale rot. It's got what look like moldy blisters. The guy didn't want it but they don't want to keep it at the store so we are thinking of bringing it home but want to know what is going on with...
I have a female (probably never sexed) 1 and a half year old tegu from TegusOnly that I am needing rehome. Our life situation has dramatically changed and we can't have her anymore.
She does not have a cage anymore so it would just be her. I REALLY don't want to ship her but if be willing to if...
I have an adult female black and white. She's only about 3 feet long. My fiance and I are about to go though a few months where we will be moving several times. Is it OK to have her in a smaller cage until things settle down? She has a 7x3x3 but she doesn't use most of her cage. She mainly hides...
So I've had Yggdrasil about a month. She's doing a lot better about me but I need some opinions.
She's gotten to the point she willingly eats from my hand. (She's never had an aggressive food response and is very mellow about taking food from me or her plate.)

Thanks for all the replies. If she's out of her hide should I attempt to lift her out of her cage or let her come out on her own?
So far I've let her come on her own.
We have had Yggdrasil for a week and 4 days. We got her from TegusOnly. She's eaten every day since we got her. Her favorite is ground turkey but she also likes chicken gizzards and hearts and fuzzy mice. I turn her lights on around 9 a.m. and she normally comes out around 2 p.m. eats a bit and...
I am getting my first tegu in a few weeks and have been reading up on feeding. There seems to be a lot of varied info on what's best. I found this in another thread:
And was thinking of trying it. Is this considered a balance diet that would work for a young tegu?
Awesome. I have the first coat on now! I know I should do more coats in "higher traffic" areas. Should I just do the one coat on the top or should I do two?
