Even though Colombians don't hibernate, almost all reptiles seem to slow down quite a bit when it gets cold. He also may be going through a growth spurt, which would cause him to sleep alot, or he may be about to shed.. Lots of animals will refuse food for a few days before a shed or moult.

Yup. Repti bark on its own isn't great, but you can mix it with a bag of cheap topsoil and its great. I would do that before dishing out the money for another bag of Repti bark.
