I have also wondered about that. He usually doesn't get moody around shed time but he had a few attitudes when he first shed when we first got him

I appreciate the advice! We are trying hard to break him of the habit because I believe you are correct, he things he's the "man" of the house and he is clearly not lol

My yearling red tegu has become a bit more aggrivated and "squirrly" as we call it, within the last 3-4 days. We thought it was from the weather systems passing through with the changing barometric pressure. He isn't as calm as he was before then. He was rather tame as we had puppy tamed him...
Zwei burrows 90% of the time too. He comes out every so often to bask in the heat and in the sun. We've also got the cocoa husk substrate and it keeps in the moisture very well and does not mold

Oh I'm glad that we won't have to fight him if he won't eat greens. He occasionally will eat a small bite of cantelope and blackberries also. Since he's a red and red's typically have a harder time shedding, we are just glad that he is eating fruit since it will help him when he sheds

Oh, thank you! Ah, I had seen that spinach was ok for them to have...what kind of greens do you suggest? We live in missouri so some types of greens are hard to come by that aren't horrifically expensive
