For everyone who has a Jam x Whitey Baby hatched on June 29

Attila is a pretty relaxed eater, whenever I take him out for feeding time I've got the food already prepared and placed. He'll wander over... lick at it a couple times and go back to exploring for about 10 minutes- THEN it's time to eat. I just don't think he likes conforming to anyone else's...

    My kinky blue lizard!!

Funny you should mention that Dave, I was actually going to move the little guy up to supers this week :). I just wanted him to get a little bigger first. I don't know if this is consistent with the rest of the clutch but my baby is an incredibly messy eater haha. Pinky mice get dismembered...

    My kinky blue lizard!!

What Dave said! His blues have an unbelievable appetite! I've got one of Kinky's siblings and he/she completely lays waste to anything I give it to eat. 4 pinkies? No problem, bring on the chicken/turkey! I keep a little bowl of meal worms in the cage at all times, and they get sucked down...

Ah it's good to see this thread get bumped back up. Attila is still feeding everyday and is over the 30" mark... I'm going to have to measure the beast again as it's been a couple weeks. I've moved him from a feeding bin into a feeding walk-in-closet =P He enjoys stuffing himself, basking...

That's pretty strange. Though it is typical for a tegu preparing to hibernate to go without food in order to void their bowels before they go down... they aren't typically so feisty though, at least from what I've heard. Attila is still active and destroying his cage on a daily basis... I was...

    My Davedragon Blue just arrived!

Oh jeez and I thought MY story was traumatic. I'm glad you managed to get the little guy out... even if you had to put a hole in the wall

    New Blue from Davedragon~

I haven't tried strawberries yet but my little guy LOVES blueberries, actually all my gus do. I don't even have to mix them in, though it helps to cut them in half so they taste the sweetness and they pretty much immediately go for it, the blue seems to favor fruit a lot more than my red or B&W...

    New Blue from Davedragon~

The moving stuff always looks tastier! I usually break up the turkey into bite sized morsels, but he still grabs and shakes it WILDLY... I have to scrape pieces off the sides of his feeding bin every night hahaha.

    New Blue from Davedragon~

Since I hate spamming up the forums I'll post the two new shots I have of my little DaveDragon baby in here: (I really need a real camera...) Also my little guy hasn't developed much of a taste for pinkies yet... but if you get him near turkey it's a bloodbath!

Cleo is on a hunger strike?

Sounds like hibernation behavior to me. It also wouldn't be the first time I've heard of eco earth starting to hibernation either... often when switching over to eco the cage temp dips a bit compared to cypress which can push a tegu into hiber... I don't think I'd worry too much considering...

    My Davedragon Blue just arrived!

Thanks! I'm so thankful the little guy got here in one piece, it was a stressful couple days to be sure. Today he's eating heaps of turkey and wasn't even that difficult to get out of the enclosure... though whenever he spots the dog he flips out! He seems a lot less concerned about me today...

Attila has been gorging lately. I haven't seen that crease in his midsection in 4 days and he's showing no sign of slowing down. I've never seen him have such an appetite, I'm guessing there's going to be one huge growth spurt coming soon.

    My Davedragon Blue just arrived!

I'll try to snag some with him/her outside of the tank, but for now I just want the little guy to get some R&R, they've had quite the ordeal! The little fellah is incredibly active and is eating like a pig right out of the box, which is a first for me haha

    My Davedragon Blue just arrived!

Finally! This all turned out to be quite an adventure (No fault of Dave's of course!). Monday morning Dave dropped the little guy off, it was processed through at 11:39AM Nov 9, he sent me the tracking information and everything seemed to be going just fine. Fast forward to the next day, I...

Attila didn't particularly enjoy the eco at first either... I made the same mistake and didn't prep enough. They have to actually work at digging up a burrow with the eco compared to the cypress, so it puts them off at first when the only thing they've ever known before was mulch. It took...
