10 by 4 by3 foot cage for black and white pair?

Thats fine for a pair. Just make sure it has at least a 4" lip before the doors so that you can fill it up with bedding. You may also want to make/upgrade the cage so you can have a divider if need be.

Most females after they lay their eggs are really nasty to everything, breeding partner, owner, you name it. It can be the most amazingly tame female before breeding but when she does they're real mean. Well some can be still nice, more are mean though... just ask Bobby!

With a cage like that your probably going to want two basking spots in different places, not only one for each tegu but to help keep the temps in a cage that big.

If you are planing on breeding, two cages are a must. The male must be removed after breeding.
