appetite not as good...

hi, i got another tegu a few weeks ago,a cb08 one-gorgeous!!for the first couple of weeks his appetite was excellent,eating many insects(hoppers,king mealworms,waxworms etc) and a bit of minced turkey. i give him 1 pinky a week also. but the past 2 weeks his appetite has dwindled.he will eat but maybe just 1 or 2 mealworms/waxworms,wont eat his hoppers anymore and will eat the pinky he is given(once a week) im just worried as i thought he'd be eating me out of house and home like my other did when it was a baby. he looks in excellent body condition,is definately not stressed by me as he walks up my arm when i put it in there to change the water etc,his temps are 100 basking,80 cool,75 night time. he has a 10% uv bulb also.he is given his vits and calcium supplements and his humidity is around the 75%mark. anyone any ideas?thanks.Dan

If I was you I would try some Activia yogurt, and also get a stool sample tested for parasites.

go with the activia yogurt with a plastic syringe once a day for 5 days or until you see him drop a stool, then try a pinky or two, also needs a parasite check. thats what saved my tegu's appetite.

One of mine refused to eat like this as well. Just follow the advice given and if all fails take him to a vet.
