We purchased an Argentine Black & White from a lady in Florida that couldn't care for it any longer. We believe it's a wild caught import because it was purchased by the original owner from a reptile store. S/he keeps trying to hibernate. It stayed burrowed for about 3 weeks and then we had to change the substrate and s/he came out. S/he has been coming out off and on for the past two weeks, and eating off and on. I've heard of other people getting imports onto a normal hibernation schedule.
I would like to sell this B&W and/or open to trades for other reptiles. We have a B&W that we got from Bobby this year and have realized that, while we wanted to keep this other tegu from going to someone that didn't know anything about them, we aren't going to have the room for two of these gorgeous animals. S/he is pretty tame already also. S/he loves to sit on our shoulders.
