A local store is selling what they are calling an Armadillo Lizard. I'm not sure and I could use any help you all have. It kind of looks like what I've found on the web but it's spikes are not as large. It's a brick red. HELP

A bit of a late reply, but "Armadillo Lizards" being advertised in shops are 99.9% of the time Cordylus tropidosternum - known by quite a few other names, such as Jungle Girdle-Tailed Lizard, and are usually very cheap. "True" armadillo lizards, or Cordylus cataphractus (the ones that actually curl up into a circle like real armadillos) cost a fortune and are ridiculously rare - Im almost certain that you wont find these for sale in a shop, only through private owners.
