what is their care? I have read on Bert Langwerf's page that they are super hardy but how is their temperment? They seem like awesome animals but I just don't know much about them.

man, if he'll get along with my male id take him, but i don't know if they'll fight as spyro is a Lot bigger

check his belly, by that size he should be getting some hazy pinkness there.

if his belly is still white, i'd go so far as to say female.

definatly male then, sorry, i'm looking for females to keep spyro company.

but everyone, aussie waterdragons are awesome!! they are pure insectavores but love fish and small mice. super hardy, normal humidity is fine, regular 100 degree sunning spot, they are sun worshippers though, Spyro recommends a 100 watt mercury vapor from reptileuv.com and cypress for substrate, they enjoy a good misting when you can remember to do it. they handle cold spells like champs. Also, they LOVE LOVE LOVE water, we're talking like 30% of their day is spent splashing around. and 90% of em only crap in their water so the important part is making sure their water is changed every single day. sometimes i change spyro's water twice a day.

and they are the most amazing acrobats, i seen spyro jump from one shelf and corkscrew, while passing underneath a higher shelf belly up! then grab the far side of the shelf with his front claws and pull himself up. i wouldn't have believed it if i hadn't seen it.

Thanks for the caresheet links Lexi. I will have to seriously consider him. I just don't know because its way too easy to easy to go nuts on reptiles.
