Baby tegu sleepy?

I got a red tegu recently from a local pet store, it eats a lot of food and drinks so looks alot more plum than when he was kinda skinny. However, ever since i got him (a week) he's always been sleeping alot, though he has energy to run when startled by me entering the room. Is it cuz i don't have enough heat?

They take some time to settle into new homes/routines. They'll hide a lot.

Still, what ar3 your temps for basking, ambient, and hide at other end of enclsure? How big is the enclosure?

My temps are around 46 C (114 f) right under the light at the tallest spot. room temp is 32, I have a fan cuz I don't want stagnant air which promotes mold. My tank is only around 2.5ft long for now ( already have a bigger tank)
