Baby tegu slowed down alot

Hello,

Ive had a baby b & w tegu for a month and a half now. the first month went by great, he was eating a ton and very active. about 2 weeks ago he stopped staying out all day, and started digging in at 2pm. then he stopped coming up to eat and just basks every morning for a couple hours then go back in the hide. its seems like hibernation but it seems weird to happen so fast. any info helps.

setup is 55 gal tank w/100w powersun
big water bowl
115 surface temp in basking spot and 100 ambient on the hot end, temps taper down to 82ish on the cold end.

Hi Matt,

Sorry your thread slipped between the cracks. Where are you located? It's probably a bit early in the year for hibernation.
How are his eating patterns? What about water? Could he be dehydrated?
Can you post some photos of him and his setup?
