i had one and it burnt out, but once the summer comes around i want to keep them in natural sun light as much as possible. its just tough during the spring time in mass.
mercury vapor all the way, i haven't had much luck with bulbs either... though i see a huge difference in my animals when i use it instead of fluorescent lights... if they're big enough, or tame enough, take them outside though, you can never beat what they were meant to have naturally in the wild.
I know UVB is a MUST for a Tegu and other reptiles, but are there any other things that they need from lighting to be a happy healthy Tegu? Just want to check
