Well, ive been realllyyy perplexed. Cause the ways to really distinguish the chams apart is from their spine, their tail length, and their body size. I remember asking for one male, and the rest females. But after looking at one of them...it really looks like a male to me. Heres a picture of my for sure male

can you post a pic of a female so we can see the diff? to me if the top is a male i would say the bottom is too. but im not sure what the females look like.

the bottom one looks alot fatter. like the distance between the belly and the top of the spine is alot farther than on the top one. i dono if that has anything to do with male or female tho.

they are shorter in length, their spine is less pronounced (less ridges) and they are "wider"[

I fixed your link for you.

I dont know much about chams, but a freind of mine breeds veileds and he says they have a sort of spur on their foot right from hatching that lets you distinguish male from female

Yeah veilds are easy to sex. But the Stumpies aren't that way. It's more by site. The best way I know to tell is that the males are much smaller and thewy seem to have the Dorsal stripe all the time where the females don't. That is one way that I tell.

Oh yeah it looks to be a young female to me. We need a better shot of the tail from the side.I need to see the vent to the tip of the tail. If that makes any since. LOL The tail is the main thing to look at. But you have to look from the side while slightly looking up at it. I know that sounds crazy. But if you holding on to them. They draw everything up and you have to go by size. But you female resemble males when they are young. But the one you asked about as far as the way the body looks is a female . In my opinion.
Males have more colr to their pattern but you have to watch them over a period of time. You can see the bulge if the male is adult. They breed about like veilds so he is always pretty well buldged all the time. But all the ones I had the males were very thin bodied. Not quite half the size of the female . It has been 3 years since I had any. I used to be good at sexing them though. The 2 site I postewd are very good info sites. They go into alot of different species. My only warning is if you read enough you'll have chameleon fever. LOL

the 2nd one does have a much bigger body size than the male...LLL had her as a female...ill take a picture of the under side of her tail to vent tomorrow. I was just concerned about territory issues if they were both males...
