After a year of buying humidifiers, lighting, timers, and humidity/temperature gauges I became frustrated with the lack of quality in these items. I had purchased them online and from pet stores. Apparently I am an idiot! All the same equipment is available at building supply or hardware stores. I began buying the lighting, humidifier, thermostats and humidity gauges, and timers from Lowes. I am at 7 months since the last purchase and everything works well and nothing has malfunctioned. At Lowes the stuff is a third to a quarter of the price that the reptile version cost.
