You can use spagnum peat moss (it resembles a dirt, looking like eco-earth) comes in huge bags from walmart or hardware/landscaping stores such as home depot. or you can use organic top soil. or a bark by the name of Earthgro.

When using mulch ,moss, organic topsoil from Walmart,Home Depot,Lowes,etc..... you need to use that in outside pens/cages ,if you use that stuff for cages inside your house you are going to deal with bugs that are in them ,outside the bugs are controlled by bugs that will prey on the bugs in those substrates and the weather conditions that change daily unlike inside cages that are controlled by keepers .Keepers choice cypress mulch is made specially for reptiles ,coco fiber / Eco earth bricks or loose bags need to be microwaved for 2 mins to kill off any mites that could be present . I use keepers choice cypress mulch and coco fiber/ eco earth ,the eco earth has one drawback to it and that is you will be changing the water in the water bowls more frequently then normal because coco fiber sticks to the reptiles .
