Long time, no talk TT! It's been awhile but I'm still around.
Well lately, I've been seeing a lot of ads on craigslist for tegus around my area and most of them are being labeled as Argentines but are really colombians. Some guy is selling a colombian labeled as an Argentine from the Boa Guy for $140. It really annoys me though because there are people that have actually been scammed because they really thought they bought an argentine. A friend of mine on another forum got scammed by a guy selling baby Colombians but the breeder told her they were Argentines and spent $200 only to find out she got ripped off when she saw the physical differences between both types of tegus.
Just a word of caution to anyone new to tegus and wants an argentine, be on the look out and if you're not sure, always ask. I'm not sure if these guys selling these tegus actually don't know they are colombians or are really trying to scam people but I feel bad for anyone that really thinks they're argentines and spends their money on them.
