cutting down on the electric bill

I have a few reptiles and I am woundering if anyone knows how to cut down the electric bill?

low energy bulbs in every socket in your house ;)

if you have snakes or animals that don't rely on UV, heat mats are much less wattage.

This has been a concern of mine lately since I now have to actually pay my bills, so all of my other, nonreptile lights usually just stay off in the apartment :) They are also low-wattage.

Unplug all unnecessary appliance's. Even when they are turn off most are still sucking power for some sort of auxiliary function.
