Dog Food Story

So the other night I went to my monthly herp society meeting with Kodo and there was a woman there saying she had a pair of Colombian tegus who lived about 15 years each on a diet that consisted primarily of Innova senior dog food. I would love for Kodo to reach the age of 15 (preferably older) but I am a little dubious of her story and in all honesty I don't really want to give Kodo dog food (he's not a dog, after all). I'd love to get your guys' thoughts, opinions, and any other stories you may have about tegus and dog food.

I'm sure there's some truth to it but I wouldn't believe all of it. Wouldn't make dog food part of their primary diet either but my tegus were in the dog bowls a few times.

elmo loves dog food, but i only use it has a treat... like when we go to my friends house and she finds some on the floor or when she gets out of her cage and steals some. definitely wouldnt make it the primary food source
