ok so im making a natural cage for my gecko. here is all the stuff im building it with and i want to know what you all think of it.

it is a 18x18x24" high exo terra tank.

here is the drainage layer: http://www.blackjungle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=TL-20&Store_Code=BJTS

the substrate is bed-a-beast

this is the backround: http://www.blackjungle.com/Merchant...t_Code=TFP-10&Category_Code=B&Store_Code=BJTS

here are the plants:

and my mom has a big spider plant that im going to cut a small spider plant off of.

and it will have some drift wood logs in it too

so what do you all think? when i finish it ill post lots of pics but first i need to get all the plants and everything right and do the tank.

Cool, you will have fun setting it up. I would switch to a soil substrate. You can then plant directly into it and it would be healthier for the roots then the Bed-a-Beast. Maybe try and grow some moss on it as well?

the Selaginella - Kraussiana "Gold Tips" (4th link down in the plant links) says it is a good grown cover. i am hoping it will spread across the whole ground and be instead of moss.

what kind of soil? all the soil stuff i have seen in the stores has the white beads and fertilizers in it. i dont want that stuff in my cage.
