Feeding question and a pic!

OK a few questions on getting into good feeding habits. I've only had my '11 AA tegus for a couple weeks right now and I am doing what works now as opposed to probably what is best, but I'd like your thoughts.

They've been getting a steady diet of dubias and raw turkey (I offered some snails too bc I have pink tongue skinks, but that was a no-go).

One issue I am having is the will NOT eat out of a bowl....or maybe they will and I'm just not letting them get hungry enough. When tong-fed, they will generally only eat 1-2 dubia roaches (mouth size, not bite size). The turkey they will take or leave depending on if I fed them roaches first.

Does this seem like an appropriate amount for them to be eating? They are still greenies as you can see and have both shed and are pooing frequently......should I be feeding them smaller feeders? I just like the idea of getting it all in them while their prey drive is high lol.

And here as a picture of my handicapped gu, Kink. As predicted, Uncle Sam dashed under the hide when I took the pic.

It looks nice and full to me :) you can go either way larger meals less often or smaller meals more often. But for now their tummies are still small so can't hold much.

Thanks for the quick reply...I have this drive to feed feed feed and I always worry about it lol. Especially after dealing with trying to get my pink tongues onto an acceptable diet.

I hear ya about feed feed feed. Are they too small to start feeding them a mixed diet? Or should I keep my little guy on just straight turkey and beef liver for now? Hes about 10".

Were you able to figure out whats wrong with the first ones spine? It looks like its doing alright, nice belly and nice open eyes! With smaller tegus I fed them smaller more frequent meals. Gary (who was a small 2 year old) would get grumpy and semi- food aggressive if he went too long without eating.
