I already have chickens and was thinking of adding coturnix quail in for the eggs for Mr. Spoiled-tegu. I read that they start producing early but fertility declines at around 9 months old. Either way whenever they stop laying I was thinking they could be good whole prey feeders. Can tegus eat whole coturnix quails? I read the adults are around 5 inches tall which doesn't seem too big for feeder prey. I don't want to assume though and chance giving something that isn't ok. If so, would I have to defeather it or anything?
