I should order some quail...how big do the tegus need to be to down one though? When niles went down for hibernation he was only 18in.

mine is 5 months and has to eat the day old because his head isn't really ready for week old! but he can eat large feeder rats:p

So... it's not like snakes then, where you go by the thickest part of the body? You go more like in comparison to the size of the head? When niles woke up i put a live mouse in there and he was like 'whatever '...but may be because wasn't done with hibernation...right?
