glassy eyes

I lifted the hiding box for my tegus today because they haven't came out all day and was wondering what was wrong. I lifted the hide box up and saw that they were awake with the bodies under the mulch but their heads sticking out just sitting there. I touched them and they were quite cold. The basking lamp and uv bulbs are on but they didn't go out to bask or anything and found it to be weird.

I placed them under the basking spot and just observed to see if I could find any odd behavior. My larger tegu is about 20" and he looks a bit thin, I've been giving him food but he hasn't been eating. He seems to close his eyes a lot too and I looked more closely and they appeared to be very glassy and moist, when he closes his eyes I see a tear almost amounting and there was a few small bubbles.

Is there something wrong with him?

The substrate is cypress mulch. I have two tegus, one is around 20", the other is around 16". No I haven't gotten any new reptiles lately.

Please uplead a picture of what you are referring to; it will make it a million times easier to indentify the problem, if there is one.

I would but his eyes are fine now. If it happens again i'll try to take a picture.

Hey, any chance they were just fogged over due to a contrast in temperatures and humidity levels?
