My big boy and best bud Zilla has died. Turns out that his lame leg had a cancerous tumor in the joint of the elbow. I had taken him to the vet when I got him because he was limping. This was about year ago the vet took xrays and noticed a dark spot between his joint he explained it as maybe missing cartilage. So he put my boy on antibiotics for a month 60mg every other day of azithromyacin. No behavior changes but after the month he was no better. Eating and drinking fine up until 4 days before his death. I had taken him back and the vet said he probly wont regain use of arm but it shouldn't get any worse and it didn't. So today I dissected him, opened his arm and found a dime size black rock hard tumor stuck right in the joint it was actually eating into the bone. Just wanted to take time and tell his story. I'm really going to miss you buddy.

My first kingsnake died of cancer, so I understand what you're going through. Losing a beloved animal friend is never easy. My heart is broken and bleeding for your loss and I hope you will feel better soon. From the picture, he was quite the handsome lizard. Take comfort in the fact that Zilla is at peace and is likely eagerly awaiting the day you two hook back up in the Afterlife.
