Hello,
My name is remy and i live in holland.
I just got my tegu this Saturday and i am a very happy herper.
I have more reptiles to care for:
A greek turtle and 8 ballpythons

And this will be my first question for you:
There is a nature base dog/cat/ferret food that is called BARF
"bones and raw food" i looked on the internet and you can buy it also in the us
They take a whole chicken and remove feathers then in a grinder and in to a sausage like shape.
and then in the freezer no extra just that animal grinded and frozen.
you can choose for:

Beef
Chicken
Lam/chicken
Goat
Horse
Lam
Rabbit
Salmon
Duck
Please look at the website and you can choose English http://www.haaksbarf.nl
I think that when i ad fruit, vitamin this can be a good food for my tegu.
He will get bones and whole prey so thats the same as in the wild.
Please look at the site and read it and tell me if a am wrong.
greetings remy

Re: greeting from holland

I think BARF would be good for tegus, I would still feed whole rodents or chicks once or twice a week.
