Hello everyone. My name is Melissa and I'm living out in Kalamazoo, Michigan currently. I used to work at a place called Underground Reptiles in Deerfield, Florida which is where I first heard of Tegus and eventually bought my first male Black & White Argentinean. I'm a member of the Michigan Society of Herpetologists, and just went to the 2011 Pet Expo in Grand Rapids, Mi yesterday with the group to show our animals to the public. I attached a few pictures of Spock (my Tegu) and I from the event.

Also, a special thanks to the woman on this forum who showed me yesterday that my boyfriend's long-thought male Tegu is actually a girl!

He is unbelievably docile :) We are going to attempt to breed him soon, but its hard for me to believe he'd even be aggressive enough to mate. We'll see how it goes. Thanks!

Kalamazoo huh. I grew up 51 miles North of Muskegon. How long have you been there?

Hey, Melissa ! I live in Boca...go to Underground all the time...bought several tegu/monitor lizards from there ! Thinking about a blue Tegu when they come in around Aug/Sept. Like your Spock ! I guess you traded the heat for cold !
