Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to throw out a quick introduction. My name is Beth and we are welcoming a baby B&W Argentine into our family tomorrow.
I've been researching them on and off for months now and finally
decided the time was right.

Our family is quite large already with two children (Well three if you count my husband) two bearded dragons, some crested geckos, one dog, three cats, eight parrots and a tarantula.

I am sure I will have a lot of questions while we are getting used to the new addition and this seemed like a great place to ask them.

Thank you everyone for the welcome!

Yes we have eight parrots, three macaws, two eclectus, an african
grey and two conures. I am frequently known as "That mad bird lady" but it's a title I wear with pride.

I'm in Arizona, just outside of phoenix. You're
welcome to stop by and play with the scaled and feathered ones if you are ever in the area.

I take no responsibility of clothing ruined by bird poop though!

Hey Beth, it's always nice to see new users registering on our friendly forums :)

I was wondering what kinds of parrots you have?

Thank you DZ!

I have the following

Quiche: female greenwing macaw
Omelette: male miligold macaw (blue & gold/military cross)
Meringue: female blue and gold macw

Phoebe: female solomon island eclectus
Rafael: male vos island eclectus

Millicent: female congo african grey

Thing one & Thing Two: Green cheek conures that I cannot tell apart yet.

They have their own bedroom complete with television and a radio to keep them company when we aren't home. The room has been completely redone making it bird safe and except for the conures they are out of their cages all day long. The conures just don't get along with anyone but each other.

We've always wanted to visit Arizona! Maybe some day.

We visit a local pet store that raises various birds from eggs and we get punctured and pooped on.
