Hi my name is Libor. I live in Teplice in the middle of Europe. There is plenty of reptile keepers in Czech republic - http://www.ifauna.cz/terarijni-zvirata/inzerce/r/ But nobody is offering tegus. And this is why I am visiting your forum. Would somebody by so kind and explain me the best way how to get 3 Argent.tegus (T.marinae) to Europe. I am afraid that it will be very expensive.
Could it be cheaper to join somebody who is curently sending animals to Europe ?

Thank you for your suggestions

Hello and welcome to the forum. :D

Import animals into EU is hard. You will probably need a lot of paperwork since Tegus are CITES-listed. As far I know no breeder in USA ship to Europe. Have you asked any petshop if they can get one?

However getting reptiles from one EU country to another EU country is pretty easy. I'm not sure about your laws so you will have to look it up.

Are you willing to take a road trip? Germany got Tegus, and you are neighbor with them right? I know a shop in Germany who can get them. http://www.reptilica.de/
Other vice I think you might find them in those big reptile exhibitions, like the one in Hamm. But you better look that up too.

I have visited the webside mentioned above and learnt that 3 Tegus would cost me 1200,- USD. It is sadly too much.

Thanks

I'm afraid Tegus seem to cost about that within EU. In Sweden they cost about 250-350 EUR / 350-480 USD. =(
