i picked up my little gu about 1 month ago i calculate him to be only a couple months old being that he is 16 inches in length STL (this of course being approx since he is such a squirmy little brat) at first i had a hide box for him only, then i got some cypress mulch and he decided to start burying himself. i have dug him out a few times to get him to eat and socialize with him but he will just go back to digging in.
is he going into hibernation? i hate to disturb if so but im worried that he should eat a good meal before going down. plus im in the process of building him a much larger enclosure which would mean that when its complete i would have to wake him up to enjoy his new MUCH larger home.

any ideas on this? i know i don't have to allow him to hibernate which would increase his size according to what i have read here. this is all so confusing to me because my big girl has never hibernated really brumated from time to time after a good feeding she will sleep for a few days. i just want to do right by the little guy
