hibernating?? need help

ok a little more than a month ago i got a baby argentine tegu, about ten inches long. i set up his enclosure with a basking spot and uvb and everything needed. aboout two days after i got him he ate two pinkies and then burrowed. i get worried and sometimes will check one him to see if he's ok. i live in south texas and the temperature gets pretty hot so its never really cold .
So my qestion is, is my little guy hibernating or what? :?: :?:

What are your temps and humidity? What UVB are you using?

humidity is about sixty and temp is around eighty and around 95 in his basking spot. the uvb is a repti-glo10.0
