There's a quick how-to on Pangea http://www.pangeareptile.com/forums/showthread.php?36745-DIY-Mister
Sounds like a quick and easy way to get the result you're looking for. You may need to make a trip or two to the hardware store though. If you take on this project, can you document it here for us so we can see and potentially follow in your footsteps?
I bought a Walgreens Humidifier - a little bit of tubing/piping, and rigged it into a cost-efficient and long lasting repti-fogger. The reptile brand foggers (at least from my experience) I found do not last long and stop working after a short period. My Walgreens "fogger" never broke down and was much cheaper than the $60.00+ reptile foggers you purchase in pet stores.
I have a fogger already that I made from a vicks system. Seems to get a lot of water build up in the tubing which I need to figure out but I want the misters to keep the soil from drying out.
Go with a humidifier! That's what I use for my animals. We had the reptifogger for tree frogs, I think it lasted a whole month. For the humidifier, I just attached a funnel to the spout, hot glued some flexible plastic tubing to that and piped it into the enclosure. Easy peasy!
