Hi,

How long do you keep your lights on?
I do it 13 hours a day. Is this enough or to less or to long?

12 hours for me, 8am to 8pm. Ideally you could time them to the actual sunrise/sunset - perhaps with a smart outlet but not sure what the wattage rating is on those... I should look into that..

I just tend to try following the sunrise/set, bumping on or taking off an hour depending on season ........ Upto about 16 hours light in the summer and all the way down to probably about 8 in the winter.

...went and scrounged a spare smartthings plug- things are rated for 15 amps which is more than enough for my tegu power strip.... so now he's on sunrise/sunset schedule :)

Following natural photoperiod is best for this highly temperate species. I would aim for what it is in the middle of the month.

I have mine on a smart plug. That comes on at sunrise and sunset... thinking making a little shorter, since after 4 or so in the afternoon I never see him again.
