Is there such thing as too much silicone?

Hey guys! So I'm about finished with my Tegu's 8x4x4 enclosure and im not too sure how much i should proceed here, so hear me out. I had to go with KILN DRIED pine because all the toxins are already baked out of the wood. Now because I dont completely trust the wood sealer I have, I was sealing the cracks with silicone... Well one thing lead to another and I decided to coat the 2x4s entirely in silicone, to make sure it can't hurt my tegu at all... Now you see where the thread name comes in... Is there such thing as too much silicone? When its completely dry and cured? Please let me know! Thanks!
