I do not want my tegu to hibornate. He seems to be going into hibornation but I have not changed my temps from normal. He is not eating much and sleeps most of the day now. Everytime I give him a bath for him to poop he takes longer each time. Do I need t see a vet?

Please give us a detailed description of your set-up including temps, lighting, uv, substrate, etc. The best thing to do would be to take him/her to a vet.

Oh, a big factor: what have the average temperatures in your area been like lately?

This is not the time of year that your tegu should be hibernating.

That depends where he is from, it is fall in south America.
lol Bobby, he is in oklahoma

LOL Brooks, was that tegu an import? If it is an import, it is wanting to hibernate due to it being fall where he came from. I should have spelled it out better I guess.
