Long post. but.. tegu prolapse?

Yesterday, I was feeding my approx. 5 month old female tegu, in her feeding tub like I always do. She ate voraciously, as always (she got raw ground turkey and chicken, with calcium powder). She has developed this sort of annoying habit of pooping in her feeding tub when she is all done eating and ready to go back in her cage. Which is no big deal, kind of annoying to clean up but I guess it cuts down on the mess in her cage :p

So anyways, yesterday she started her usual "I'm done!" poop, but I noticed she was struggling a little. I saw the urate come out, as well as the liquid, but she seemed to be straining to get out the feces, there was a little glob stuck. Upon closer inspection, she looked to be what I would describe as prolapsed. There was a small, round reddish-purple thing also sticking out of her, with the poop coming out of that. First I tried to pull the poop out of it myself, which somewhat worked, but there was more in there. So I filled the feeding tub with slightly warmer than room temp water, and massaged the prolapse, trying to at least make it go back in. She wasn't letting it go back in, because she was straining and straining to get the rest of the poo out. So I tried rubbing her belly while she was in the water to try and get things moving more. a couple more pieces of feces came out eventually, and to my relief she pulled the prolapse back inside of her.

Today she seems ok. I went out and got her a higher wattage basking bulb (which she seems to be enjoying), because I was scared that maybe its not warm enough for her to be able to digest properly and thats why she was struggling? She doesn't get mice or rats very frequently, and hasnt had for a while, so no worries about maybe having too much hair in it. There is no prolapse and everything is inside where it should be as of right now. She is moving around ok, no stiff back legs or anything.

Sorry for the long post, but, should I be worried? I work at an exotic vet clinic, and two of the vets there are VERY good with reptiles, so I could take her in Monday if need be, I just dont want to bother them on a weekend if I don't have to and if this is something I shouldn't worry about.

Any thoughts? Sorry the post was so long!

If it went back in lets hope its not a prolapse.. If it is it will manifest its self ... Try to get more cod liver oil down her and cut back on the mice a little .They seem to eat turkey and cod liver oil pretty good ... Lets hope some one else chimes in on this ...
