More pics, SORRY for the glare on some pics (i will work on that)----4 month old tegu at just over 31 inches, 3 1/2'' wide, tail base about 2''. growing almost 2'' a week--CRAZY!!
im just curious how well that holds humidity? never seen that before covering the whole tegu cage, looks easy to burrow in though for sure, not holding a burrow but deff going under. Insane growth rate by the way, is that thing really only 4 months?!?! wow
yes only 4 months old. Its crazy how fast its growing. Thats why i kinda thought it was a male for sure. Aspen is working awsome for me. I batteled humidity with the bark substrate all the time.
The first picture shows a female, but the fourth picture looks like it has the start of some jowls, raise the tale and take pictures of the vent, I will tell you for sure then.

The rock is un-plugged i just use it for a better/warmer basking area and it gives me a more accurate surface to check my temps with my heat gun. It would get WAY to hot if it was plugged in and under the 160 flukers uv balb. Im shooting about 105 to 107 give or take a few degress aronud 5 hours after lights go on i guess.
