Hello! My name is Elana, I'm a 5'4" female who's a bit bitey but should tame down with a bit of...wait.. sorry. Human talk initiated. Hi! I'm new to this site because I wanted to be part of another forum about the beauty and mystery that is the tegu. My first tegu was a huge Columbian who was the sweetest little monster ever but I'd always craved an Argentine (some say she/he is part Chacoan but idk) and I finally got one. (I unfortunately had to lose my Columbian in the process). I love her/him sooooooooooo much. Her/his name is Hat s/he would be almost 3 ft long but due to a recent incident half of her tail is missing, though she tried to reintegrate it into herself via swallowing it and costing me $200 to get it pulled from her tummy via mouth. It was sticking an inch into her mouth and was keeping her from drinking and eating. She also was constantly trying to swallow it so I think it bothered her. Anywho, she's healing wonderfully now. The open wound is a bit disturbing but she lets me out antibiotic goop right on it so I don't think it hurts too badly. You can actually see a vertebra and a bunch of muscles but it was a clean break and I'm told it will grow back jet black but as long as she is okay I don't care what she looks like (I know you guys understand that). I currently own him/her along with 4 leopard geckos, a baby beardie, 4 sand boas, a salcata, and a hogg isle boa (which I'm trying to find a female for to make beautiful babies). I'm currently breeding the leos and hope to breed the sandboas when they are large enough, my girls are still small though my male is full grown(seperate cages of course). I also have two cats who hate my reptiles because they steal too much attention away but I love all my children.. I want to say equally but my heart really belongs to my Argentine, my hogg isle boa, and my fluffy orange cat. Don't tell the others though. o_O Also, I'm 20 that's why I talk so strangely.. I think. I'm a college student hoping to find some place in the herp field eventually. I don't know of anything else to say so thanks for taking the time to read this ridiculousness if anyone does. Much love.
Elana
