I got my lovely black and white tegu at repticon georgia on the 7th. The previous owners (local petstore running a booth) claimed they were a 7 month old male. When they are out of the burrow they seem alert, healthy, and well tempered not even a sign of wanting to tail whip. But when they burrow they dont seem inclined to ever come out, i dont think it is brumating because the previouse owners said they havnt ever done it.( but maybe because of how young they are) i want to know if theres a way to lure them out without breaking trust.

Tl dr: how do i remove lazy bones from the burrow without breaking trust if needed.

That will be tough with a glass cage... Most animals need a front opening enclosure so you can either let him come out to you or lay your arm in to let him climb on you. You shouldn't be removing him when hes in his hide. He will come out on his own. Reaching down over top is never a good idea either.
