Thats so weird! Is there anything you can try to coat it in? Raw egg might be counter productive but it might work. Maybe you can call around and see if anyone has any frozen chicks in your area?

.... this is a wild shot but try using egg yolks as a dry rub on the rats lol I figure mine will bite fingers if they smell like yum yum maybe they will eat a mouse/rat if it smells like egg yum yum lol

You could always eat the rat yourself. I read that rat tastes like rabbit and rabbit tastes like chicken IMO so therefore rat tastes like chicken. Chopped up mouse smells like roast beef, at least if it's fresh.

Well it was worth a shot, you could starve them til they eat it but that's kinda heartless and I don't think I could personally do that :-(

I would say starve them as well except the twitching problem. That guy needs to eat and get his calcium.

Can the liquid calcium be forced or does it need to be on food

It can be forced. But I can't want to do that to Dozer. Allready feels like I'm on the edge of hatred with him. Even though he's been great. I don't want to break the trust we have. This morning its turkey and black berrys with a fork load of hidden nutrients.

I know for a while my female was being overly picky about food and I had to feed her live rats or she wouldn't eat a thing.

I think I have the only box turtle in the world who doesn't eat earthworms, and you have the only Colombian who doesn't eat egg dipped rodents, lol. Rats are smelly, though, mice may work better.

Not to be too gross but they might kill it for territorial purposes then realize how yummy the insides are after biting/killing it!
