I think handling is easier after feeding, sometimes my tegus are grumpy if they've got empty bellies. Usually I feed guru in the enclosure (not everyone reccomends this) but sometimes when he's out roaming ill toss him a rat or fish fillet.
Have some pinkies on the way, have a feeling my little guy will be, the way he'd shake the eggs or turkey, or anything, all I could say was it's already dead lol.
