Please help!!!!!!!

My new tegu is acting weird. Every time he opens his mouth spit or something just runs out. It seems like his having breathing problems too i just got him today

Is it possible to get a detailed description of whats wrong? My tegu sometimes drools after she drinks a bunch of water. Is he haveing troubles moveing? What does his breathing problems look like? He could just be short of breath because he is scared.

His breathing slow and his been basking but his not having any problems moving ... When he gets done drinking he puts his head up and acts like his choking or something ??? Maybe it is his just drank to much

Im not an expert, but it sounds like what my tegu does after she drinks. If your talking about how they sit upright after eating and drinking, and sometimes even do a little wiggle, thats just how they swallow. They use gravity to help the water down their throats. Tegus dont have lips, so if they dont swallow all the water in their mouth after they are finished drinking, it oozes out thier mouth.
