my sister is getting her baby red tegu in just a few days and she was wondering if we can keep red tegu baby with my baby b/w tegu together till she gets her cage built

I think its different with every tegu. Some get along with others and some dont. Play it slow. After a highly recommended quarantine period with the new red, try introducing them outside the cage first. Watch them carefully for a while if they do end up in the same cage. I have had many animals completely change behavior and become very territorial when a new roomate gets introduced into "their" home. Good luck with both of them.

After the new tegu has been quarantined even then be prepared to house them separately if they don't get along.

They generally do fine together but I'd strongly suggest a quarantine for the new one.

Are they roughly the same size? The last thing you want is one tegu making a meal out of the other one. I had a friend who was working in a pet store that had a black and white and a red in the same tank and she came into work one day to find the red (which was the smaller of the two by at least nearly a foot) in the process of EATING the black and white's face off. Just be careful, please, whatever you do.

I housed my red female and my b/w female together when i got them both. The b/w female though the same size and age devoured the tail of my female red . And the thing is , they got along fine until i housed them together. They ate in the same floor pan and roamed fine together . But when they lived together . it was like two women in one house . not happening
