I recently put a small cat litter box in my tegus enclosure so he could swim in it if he would like my question is though is that the water temp is only like 77-78 and I have it near his basking rocks. Now it might warm up a few more degrees but if it dosnt is that to cold for him to swim in?

no. its fine. if he goes for a swim and gets to cold he will get out and bask i little to warm up.

Ok because I know he does not like water so I was thinking of introducing him to his pool myself to try and get him use to it.

I think to get him to go in the water I might throw one of his nightcrawlers in there and see what happens.
