i haven't been on this forum in a while, particulary because when i was active on the forum i did not have a tegu yet. Now i finally have a red tegu baby (aprox. 6 months. old) It's gorgeous but its unpredictable personality isn't so much. It never bites or whips but it's very difficult to get him/her out of the cage. when i do, it's either the tegu chilling on my arm or neck for an hour no problem, or it freaking out and trying to run away. sometimes it'll be calm for 20 minutes no problem and then with no provocation just burst. Is there any clear reason for this and how could it could be treated. thanks for your help

We had a similar problem with ours from 6-8 months. I've read it's Tegu puberty. He'll calm down, just give him some time.
